Fifteen Minutes...

We all know what Andy Warhol said about that particular number of minutes.  Mine are about up.

I had an interview today with the local TV news station, KELO, regarding my haunted house.  The story will air Friday night on the 10:00pm news.  It might also be on their website, http://www.keloland.com/.  Perry Groten was the reporter and I was impressed with the professionalism he and his crew of two displayed.  They were pretty thorough, even taping footage of the EVPs that I still haven't been able to post to this blog.  There was an odd thing involving squirrels, though...Anyway, I will say that I found myself babbling when asked to relate some of the more intense experiences we've had.  So if you watch, just remember it was my first and last time in front of a camera.

There has been some activity recently and I'll get that to you as soon as I can.  I have a Halloween thing I'm working on for the next post.  If you're looking for a horror movie for this weekend and need some help, stay tuned...

  1. I've heard a few things about this from a mutual friend and I'm intrigued. I've read some of the posts and I was wondering if you've had anyone that was a sensitive go into the house and tell you what was there exactly?

I guess I would really like to visit at least once to get a "feel" of the place but I know someone that could not only tell you what's there but if needed could clear the house out as well.

Great work on the documentation and postings!

  2. Thanks for the kind words. I have had a psychic/medium I know over to the house a few times. She felt that something unpleasant was here but wasn't able to give specifics. We did a cleansing using a sage smudge, an eagle feather (it's a legal eagle feather), and holy water blessed by the Pope himself. I think the not-so-nice entity bolted but another one, a harmless one, remained. I have no problem sharing my house with a benevolent spirit, and what's here now seems to be just that.

  4. When the cameraman was in the backyard shooting some footage, he became fascinated by a couple of squirrels in my apple tree. He spent more time taping them than he did the yard. I just thought that was a little odd.
