The Beast Within (2008): German zombie flick also known as Virus Undead, this one revolves around the grandson of a recently deceased scientist returning home to the family mansion with two friends. The grandpa scientist had been experimenting with the bird flu virus and, as things are wont to do in horror movies, it all went horribly wrong. Think 28 Days Later but without the chills, thrills, or gore. What action there is moves in fits and starts. The acting is pretty awful. It doesn't help that everyone is trying so hard to speak in English that the dialogue sounds overdubbed. The ending? Actually, the ending wsan't all that bad. I just wish the other 80 or so preceding minutes would have been as good. Bottom line? This one of those horror movies where any fun to be had comes from guessing who's next on the zombie menu.
