I'm not sure what to think about this, but it was too weird not to mention it. The Noah Hathaway character in Troll is a teenager dealing with magic and must save the day. His character's name? Harry Potter, Jr. (Michael Moriarty is Sr.). Now, this movie came out in 1986 and Rowling's first book featuring the bespectacled wizard of the same name was published in 1997. I doubt a movie like Troll would even be on her radar, but still...just seems wrong somehow.
Now you have a worthless piece of trivia you can bore your friends with. Actually, here's what you do - go to the biggest Harry Potter fan you know and ask them who was the first boy to play Harry on the screen. Get them to put some cash down on it. Then pull up Troll on imdb.com. Easy money.
